My new to me 07 is giving error code 34. I know this is for the exhaust gas valve thingamabobber. My question is how do I trick the bike in to thinking it's fine?

It means you should have bought a different bike.
There's probably a wire in the ECU that you can snip to get rid of that code. I did that when I removed the SET valve off my bike.

i think there are threads about this out on the net...but not here. Seems a lot of people keep the exhaust valve motor connected up when they put full exhaust on without valve. Not having the motor in and trying to cut/connect wires doesn't work for fooling the ECU if I recall.
