I want to clean my ass..... LOL! Actually I want to clean up the tail of my bike but am really hard up on cash. What is the cheapest and cleanest way to clean up the tail of my bike and still have a brake light and turn signals. I want this thing to look sick as hell. I already seen the one post where the stock exhaust is polished. "Very Nice!" Aftermarket brake and signals are no prob if they are cheap and small. Any ideas?:dotherwav

Yep - here's what I did: http://www.600rrforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=285

Does require investing in an aftermarket tailight - either Hangar or Clear Alternatives make 05-05 style tailights but they will set you back a few $$. IMO, its a much better look.

I think Tripage and a few other also make fairly cheap hugger mounted assemblies with LED stoplights. I don't like the hugger mount myself, and the one's I've seen are pretty dim as far as daylight visibility plus it seems LEO's like to cite for that setup more often.

Now like I said, I am on a very tight budget. I keep hearing ppl talk bout Home Depot. Whats that about?:fingersx

Aluminum sheets and a drill. I've made a few things for my bike with just that, ie camera mount and small a DVR holder.

If you want to keep the stock brake and turns, then I would get some 12ga aluminum sheet for the tag, and maybe you can use aluminum strapping wrapped around the pipe to hold the whole mess. (shrug)

i did mine for less then $30 and it looks REALLY good...(as good as it can with this big ole tail light)
here is a pic to give you an idea... its a camera phone pic so its not the best but it'll work

all i did was cut right under the tail light. made a bracket(i accutally used the bracket that was holding the LP to the tail before and I cut a section out of the middle of it and then welding the two pieces together so that it was no wider then the LP, but you might have not a welder)
then I bought these blinkers for $30 from a local aftermarket place
they are triangular in the rear then fade toward the front of the bike where there is 1 led pointing to the side (i'll get better pics and the name of them in about a week when I get home (working in Hawaii right now)

Here is the out come
