Congrats on the new 250R!!!!!!

Two things you need to do right away. 1) Bridgestone BT-090 tires 2) Jet it!!!!

Those two little things will make a world of difference. But I'm sure you know that. :D

I'd love to say I do, but actually I don't. Which jet kit did you use? Hey, how bout you stop by my other forum, http://www.250R.net, and share some of what you know? I have a few questions I need to ask of you about the bike. I swear, this will not involve if you want it ITB or not.

not concerned about the tires yet but was the jet kit pretty much the shit for this bike. I might need to do this soon. Did you remove the snorkel or do anything to the air box, new air filter, etc? was the jet kit easy to put in? which one you use?

I didn't do the work on the bike so I cannot be sure of exactly how it was all done and what kit was used. I sent an email to him asking and I'm just waiting for a response so that I can post it.

The jetting is important regardless and will dramatically improve riding the bike. But y'all know that. Once completed there will be zero lag and will start right up. The throttle is very quick and snappy. :D

Keep the stock tires on there just for putt putting - around town riding but I highly suggest you put on the BT 090's if you plan to do any form of exuberant riding. The stock Dunlop's are shit. (in my humble opinion)

As soon as I have all the mechanical info I'll post it up. ;)

Yes, the airbox snorkel was removed. (as recommended by dynojet) Air filter is stock. Jetting itself is easy, but getting to and removing the carburetors is time consuming/ slightly difficult.

Just recommend the dynojet kit, as what I did was jet it based on my own experience and may be too difficult for most non-mechanics to understand and or follow:

pilot screw: 3 turns out
main jet: #110 (with slip-on)
needle: raise by 1 shim

There you go. ;)

If you guys have anymore questions please let me know and I'll help the best I can.

I'm planning just to raise the needle by adding a washer to it.
