So I finally have on order two brand new rotors for the Honda. I hope this will solve the problem:fingersx I do not have a front stand for my bike and would like to see if anyone would like to help me out and wrench on the bike. Like to bring it by and see if you can help me install the new rotors, if it does not solve the problem then look into what else may cause this problem. Sooo....any offers?:thumb

My offer still stand with or without the BBQ. :D There's only requirement though, you need to have your own garage space. Mine is a mess right now and there's no room for anything else other than a shit load of boxes and other junks.

Sweet....I thought you needed a certain pin# for certain models. I only have rear spools no front.

Only if you get the front stand that lifts at the head tube. That stand is great/needed if you're gonna take off the forks.
The regular front stand lifts at the forks.

I would like to thank Dave and Christian for helping me out this weekend. I rode today and everything is working great, hopefully I will not warp the rotors again.

Sweet! So hopefully the new rotors corrected everything.

Yeah it did, everything is working beautiful. Not sure how I warped the rotors but it was a problem that I had with them. Maybe I should take them to see which one is warped and see of they can be machined?

FYI to all who cares: David and Christian ( supervisor ) helped to changed my rotors, thank you very much! It did help the problem....I say this because it solved the problem for a couple weeks and now once again the brakes shutter/pulse when I hit the front brakes. I am at a loss as what it could be??

did you guys flush out the break fluid while you were at it?
HollywoodBush
10-08-2008, 05:47 PM
Nope they were already flushed once this year. You think that is the problem?
Vtec44
10-08-2008, 05:56 PM
I doubt it but I'd do it anyway to cross that off of my list of possibilities. That and brake pads.
HollywoodBush
10-08-2008, 05:59 PM
Pads and fluid were changed at the same time a few months ago....switched to Galfer pads. This is driving me crazy!

Do you have someone that's willing to swap out the entire front wheel, rotors and everything? At least that will eliminate either the wheel or the font brakes. Also, double check the forks settings in case they don't match on either side. :dunno

Eric, how's your tire pressure? Tire tread? When't the last time your fork fluid was changed? Could you need a new head bearing?
I'll give you $1000 and a BJ for it :D

James...I don't actually have anyone. I am starting to think that maybe the fluid or pads maybe the problem. When I switched them out everything was okay but it wasn't till a week or so later when I took it to ACH it started to do this. It may be a coincidence:dunno
I think I will have to take it to Tige over at Cyclemall....I was kinda hoping I would find the problem but I am out of ideas.

Pressure is good re-checked it last night. Dunlops put on maybe 8 months ago. I do not think the fork fluid has been changed in a year or two. I don't think so....?
LOL! Hmmm I am willing to work on that price for you. Lets talk about this over a BJ, let me know when.:naughty2
