Got a couple questions about throttle cable replacement.

Firstly, is there any benefit to aftermarket cables? HRC "Comp" cables, for example. They're only $5 more each. Or, should I just stick with OEM?

Secondly, are there any other parts / tools that I should buy when buying the new cables? Pliers, crush washer, etc.?

Thanks!

You need a needle nose plier as far as I know and may also need to remove the throttle body. I'll see if I can find the pictures in my service manual. Oh, is the HRC kit a quick throttle kit or just a standard one? I think they make 1/5 turn kits for the 600RR.

I wasn't going to buy the kit, just the cables. I'm still using the original throttle.

I'm glad I asked about the HRCs. Wouldn't want to buy the wrong cables. Rudy suggested Motion Pro cables. I'm gonna check 'em out.
