Who out there is a mod-whore?

I am going to be honest, my bike is one of the more stock 600rr's out there today. I have added only a few items for crash protection, or to customize the ride to my liking.

Puig DB Windscreen
ASV shorty levers
Proton flush mounts
Motovation weighted bar-ends
Motovation fork sliders
Motovation axle sliders
Motovation frame sliders (not installed yet)
Vortex spools
Vortex rear stand

I guess when I see it all listed out, there is more than I thought. Basically all crash protection, or wind protection (and some flush mounts for good measure). I have a PC-3 for the bike, but I am too lazy to install it right now... besides, I was going to wait until I get a full system exhaust for the bike and then custom dyno-tune it before and after.

So, what is everyone out there using on their bikes?

I have

Puig DB Windscreen (great wind protection)
Vortex rearsets (those spikes are sharp)
Akrapovic slip on (it sounds cool when I down shift)
Yoyodine frame sliders (can also be converted to tie-down hooks)
EBC sintered HH pads (stopping power is awesome)
Galfer brake lines (doesn't match witht he color of my bike!)

I forget that the OEM seat cowl isn't standard on the bike (my dealer threw it in no-charge).

So add to my list:

OEM cowl
some sticker removal
reflector removal
Cortech small tank bag (since this is my commuter).

What track in CA do you recommend for a first time track rider? I have ridden for about 6 years, but never made it to a track. I have done numerous trackdays in my car, and now the desire to do them on a bike is setting in.

I am not going to mollest my bike with anymore parts until I can see where it is lacking... my guess is the rider will be the most lacking feature on the whole bike.:donthate

Buttonwillow! It's like 1hr or less away from you, that's why I asked where's Turlock :D We're doing a group track day on the So Cal forum on 7/6 (http://www.sportbikers.net/forums/showthread.php?t=13705).

so far all have done is taken off those ugly signal lights and mirrors. I replaced the stock mirrors with some integrated mirrors. for the rear signals i just bought some really basic flushmounts. Next is probably an undertail but havent seen one i really like. Any suggestions?

Wow, that's not too bad considering some flush mounts cost about the same or more.

This bike is making me a vanity whore, but I think I'm done:

Hangar Integrated tailight
Custom one-sided fender elim/license bracket, polished stock can, removed heat shield.
Titax shorty levers
4500K HID's
Watsen flushies
Stomp Pads
Powers Stuntworx Race Railz
Swingarm spools
Ebay tank-mount camera platform
Stoopit rim tape (black)

The rest of my $$ will go to track days and tires, I swear! (unless I need rearsets, SS lines, better brake pads... oh crap) :D

Nah, buttonwillow is about 3.5 hours. I am closer to Laguna Seca or Infineon. Buttonwillow and Thunderhill are close to equi-distant from me.

I have ran Buttonwillow in my car. :thumb

Edit:
175 miles, 3.0 hours acording to Google maps. Add 30 minutes for towing though since I can only tow (legally) at 55mph.

Damn, that's farther than it looks on the map. Hey, are you heading to Laguna Seca this year for the USGP?

so far, i haven't done much:
swing arm spools
shogun no-cut frame sliders
tank pad

soon enough i'll be making some additional mods:
DB smoke windscreen
rear sets
new, softer compound, tires
brake lines, eventually

but right now, the rider needs a few new mods:
a new suit is the first order of business -- problem is most ladies suits are not perforated, so i'm having some issues deciding which suit to get. and my current suit is both way too big and beginning to come apart (the lining)
new gloves are needed too, again, some issues with how the mfgs determine what features we females want/need in a glove.

Yep - probably the most important feature in a glove is being able to fully extend the middle finger independently from the others :fingerroll:lol6

my current suit is both way too big

You can say that again. Although, it's roomy enough that you can put it outside of the boots (just like Rossi).

So far all I have done is Remove the stock Fender. I left the stock brake light and signals on. and I blacked out the stock windshield using $.97 gloss spraypaint from Wal-Mart. It looks good though. I have been asked by a few CBR owners wher I got the shield from. Told them how I did it and they have done the same. As for the cheap fender eliminator I did I will post a tread with pics later. Used all stock parts. LOL! only cost me 30min of time, thats it.
