How often do you change yours? The last time I changed mine was at 15k on my F4i. Those iridium plugs are freaking expensive, $18 for one if I remember it correctly. You need to lift up the gas tank, remove the air filter box , and use a spark plug wrench that came with your tool kit to remove them. I make it a habit to also change the air filter, too, since I'm there anyway.

BTW, NJK spark plug part number for 03-04 600RR is IMR9C-9HE , for 05-06 is IMR9C-9HES. I don't have the # for 07-08 CBR though.

Oh, incase you don't have the spark plug wrench, it's 5/8 standard socket or 16mm metric. You'll need a long extension, at least 6", to to reach.

Some conversions between standard and metric sockets

5/16 = 8mm
7/16 = 11mm
5/8 = 16mm
3/4 = 19mm
7/8 = 22mm
15/16 = 24mm
1 1/16 = 27mm
1 1/4 & 32mm

Never.

2.54 cm = 25.4mm = 1"

on my '04 cbr600rr , manual says "inspect" at 16K and "replace" at 32K. i'm waiting 'til 32K since they're iridium tipped. my '06 corolla says 120,000 miles for its iridium-tipped plugs so i figure the honda's plugs will last 32K easily and even 32K is conservative.
