I've been contemplating a "project" bike, and picked up this suckah today! :ohyaaa Its in great running shape (Honda..of course), a bit rashed on the left side plastics and missing a muffler (guy who had it cut it to a straight side pipe). Always wanted a 750 V-4 Honda, and these were my favorites with the single sided swingarm from wayyy back. Not sure if I will try to get it back to more original shape, or turn it into a badass naked streetfighter. What you think?

:fawkdanceIts not quite as old as I am, but close, ZMan:fawkdance
The sound of it right now is pretty much MotoGP loud with straight pipes, but its actually quite pleasant if you can get over the fact that it loud as mutherf*ckin hell!

So today I got the VFR rolling on my morning commute. Up to now, its just been short jaunts to the parts store while I work on making it a street-legal naked bike. Bodywork is a ways off, so I decided to run it naked for a while and have fun.
As I said before, this isn't meant to be pretty!
After giving it a mechanical go-through, here's what I've done to her:
1. Remove stock exhaust headers with straight pipe, and install Left High Mount 2Bros system, repack muffler with new material from 2Bros.
2. Install rear tailight from CBR600RR, add rear turns.
3. Remove front stays and gauges completely. Remove speedo cable and cap port.
4. Remove evap and Pair plumbing, leaving room under tank for excess stock wiring harness.
5. Fab up bracket and install badass Honda Ruckus headlight assembly and front turns.
6. Install rebuilt front forks with Racetech springs and emulators. Install new pads and lightly used rotors.
Still to do:
Source Trailtech Vapor speedo and install. Clean up all wiring.
Redo brackets with friend who has welding eqpt., manufacture bracket for GSXR600 steering stabilizer.
Source bar-mounted mirrors and install.
Hopefully get back front fender and rear bodywork and install.
Source used left passenger peg and modify to work with exhaust.

Oooo - ya. So far, I've been pretty conservative on modifying stuff, thinking I can put it back to stock. But I may just go ahead and do the uber-strip on her for complete nakedness :p
Sex on wheels, streetfighter or no
And those V4s sound sublime with an aftermarket exhaust setup
