What's the shelf life of tires, if you store it at room temperature?

Ive looked over the web and answers are all over the place. The only thing that gets mentioned over and over is how the tire is stored. They all say if kept in a cool, dry warehouse it should be good for years. Most say three years but I have seen five years as the max. Based off this info I would say keep in cool dry place and it should last for 3 years or so.

Hmm that's my thought as far as the life expectancy also, but I just want to double check. Thanks Bushy!

I kept my tires for a few months by the dryer LOL! Still looked good and will see whats happens because I jsut had them installed. If I crash then you know NOT to store by the dryer :laughing

HAHA! I am an idiot...I just have no room to store stuff and there was space by the dryer and I put them there not even thinking until I took them out this weekend. I thought to myself...maybe that was not the best place to store them LOL! Oh well it was only for a few months and they looked totally fine but the real test would be on the street.

Put them in the closet?

Seriously I live in a place that is tight for space...I have two other roommates and the closets...all of them are FULL. It was either by the dryer or in my room, but the smell of rubber was not attractive.
