We have one for Good Vendors... why not have one for Bad ones? Hopefully we don't have too many bad ones but hey... good vendors should get rewarded and asses should get what's comin' to them... :rocketwhore
I've only got one...

I'm from SoCal but I'm up north for a stint and decided to come and check them out since I was in the area. I was seriously going to buy a tpro back & chest protector from them. When I walked in they greeted me which was cool, then probably didn't think I was serious about buying anything then sat down and began clicking away at his computer (the computer was in a different room from the showfloor). Gave me one word answers and when I asked to try on a chest protector he ripped open the rib cage protector and handed it to me... I was like... is this right?! "Oh, sorry I thought it was just big on you but it's actually too big and it's a rib protector". Me: thanks! Good luck with the business... :evilgrin

TPro is good stuff. And Motostrano is a great place to buy from. There's always a danger of talking to the kid at the counter who is just bored, having a bad day, or flat out doesn't care about his job. I'm sure if you'd asked over his head, you would have gotten some good help. They are known as a really good shop in that area. Every business that has retail employees has bad moments like that. You get what you can pay for, and you're not hiring kids with doctorates for that job at livable wages, so you have to work to keep them off the interweb and taking care of customers :doh

I purchased for Motostrano....no problems before. Then again I never went inside their store but ordered on-line. They had the cheapest A* gear at the time and I bought it with no problems. Would consider buying from them again if I need more gear and if the price is right again.

Power Stuntworx is seriously crap. I got in on a group buy for race railz...paid by credit card...and waited....and waited...and waited. http://powersstuntworx.com/
Every time I called to see when they were going to ship a freaking welded piece of steel they had a different excuse, blaming their powdercoater, a redesign, etc, etc. I finally get the head guy on there when I ask for a refund (3 months of them sitting on my money was enough for me) and he promises they will ship at the end of the week and they will throw in some axle sliders for my trouble. I say OK, fine.
1 week, no rails
2 weeks, no rails
3 weeks, no rails
4 weeks later I get a box with no instructions in it, no axle sliders, and to top it off the "no-cut" rails require me to cut fairings and drill out my swingarm pivot to mount them.
I call them back and say WTF re: no-cut? The guy was like "hey its just a litle bit you need to drill out the swingarm pivot", and "what do you mean you have to cut fairings?" He says fine, send them back if you want.... with attitude.
I tried to sell the rails for a while, but no takers and had track day coming up so I went ahead and mounted them, but seriously I was not happy. The design is nothing a high-school shop welder couldnt have made - although the idea is great it really could have been done a lot better and with more precision.
BTW, I talked to kneedraggers about them since they also sell their product - hell these guys are even in the Lockhart Philips catalog now. Kneedraggers response on the rails which were on backorder... "yeah, their backorder is like from now til forever"
ridegear.com - just a pain to deal with
onesecondfaster.com - no communication, no rearsets, had to file a dispute charges with my cc company to get my money back.

Damn... so many bad experiences & not enough good ones! With such a small community of customers these vendor should realize that we're their only market, eh?

I've had good experience with Motostrano.
Not that you ever would, but don't order from http://stedmanmotorsports.com/ The dude jacked me around big time, very similar to whats going on with that Slaughter tire deal on the other board.
