Helmet Lock

Does anyone know off the top of their head what is the correct round tube bar size on a 2006 CBR600RR? It is for a Motion Pro Helmet lock. The lock comes in two sizes. They are 7/8inch or 1inch to 11/8inch. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you want to see the lock itself, it is on kneedraggers. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks

I believe it/s 7/8", but don't quote me on this.

Wrap strip of paper around handlebar, mark and then lay flat and measure the circumference. If circumference is 3 + 1/8" then it is 1" OR if 2 + 3/4" then bars are 7/8"

Why don't you use the one that hooks to the rear trunk?

I didn't even realize that this was for the handle bars. Thank you for pointing this out. I just assumed that they were all for the rear trunk. Does the 06 come stock with hooks to the rear trunk or do I have to buy a lock and hook for it? Sorry, I just ordered my users manual and it wont be here until next week.

I believe all 600RR models have it. It's just a simple hook, where you hook your helmet straps there, then put on the rear seat.

Oh, so its not like a lock or anything that I can leave it there safely? No way I could leave my Arai Profile behind without a lock.

Well the rear seat has a lock, and you have to remove the rear seat to remove the helmet. So, it's kind of like a helmet lock.
