Had a gsxr 1000 and ran premium fuel. Just bought 05 cbr600rr and heard its best to run mid grade. Is this true? even though ive read u can run as low as 86 octane.

Just use whatever the owners manual recommends. There's no point of running higher octane if your engine is not tuned for it. Generally speaking, if you're not getting a "knock" or "pinging" you don't need higher octane gas.

Ha i would if i could, but i just bought this bike from a private owner and she "lost" the manual. Does anybody have an '05 cbr600rr manual handy?? :ohno

92 octane then! :D I'll check around to see if I can find it in my garage.
